THE GROUND RULES
Terms of Use
What you can expect from QnA, and what we expect from you.
In effect since
Agreeing to these terms
By installing or using QnA you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the EEA and the UK, to use QnA. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
What QnA is
QnA is an AI gaming companion. It detects the game you are playing and helps you research answers, walkthroughs and builds, which it can save as guides.
Answers come from an AI model and can be wrong, out of date, or confidently mistaken about a game that has since been patched. Treat them as a starting point, not as fact. Do not rely on QnA for anything that matters outside the game.
You bring your own AI agent
QnA does not include an AI model. To use it you connect your own Claude Code or Codex account, and your use of that service is governed by that provider’s terms, not ours. You are responsible for whatever it costs you, and for keeping your API keys to yourself.
We are not responsible for a provider changing its pricing, its models, or its availability.
Using QnA fairly
Do not use QnA to:
- Cheat. Nothing in QnA reads game memory, automates input or gives you an advantage the game itself forbids — and you must not use it alongside anything that does, or to build anything that does.
- Break the rules of a game you are playing. Its publisher’s terms still apply to you, and some competitive titles restrict overlays entirely.
- Publish content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes somebody else’s copyright.
- Publish spam, advertising, malware, or anything designed to mislead readers.
- Attack, overload or reverse-engineer the qna.gg service, or automate publishing to it.
Guides you publish
You keep ownership of the guides you write. By publishing one to qna.gg you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it as part of the community library, and to let others read and share it. You can end that licence by unpublishing the guide.
You confirm that you have the right to publish what you publish. Game names, screenshots and artwork belong to their publishers; keep your use of them to what fair use or their own guidelines allow.
Every guide you publish must follow the Guide Guidelines at qna.gg/guidelines, which spell out in more detail what the community library accepts.
We may remove any published guide, at any time, without notice — most often because it breaks the rules above or because a rights holder asked us to.
Advertising
QnA is free and is paid for by advertising, supplied by Overwolf. Using the app means accepting that it displays ads. Do not block, hide, tamper with, or artificially interact with them, and do not modify the app to remove them.
Third parties
QnA is built on Overwolf’s ow-electron platform and uses its overlay and advertising systems; Overwolf’s terms at overwolf.com/legal apply to those parts. The app also talks to Anthropic or OpenAI, and to Steam, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not control any of them and are not responsible for them.
No warranty
QnA is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its answers will be accurate.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, lost progress, lost profits, or for a game account penalised or banned. Our total liability for any claim relating to QnA is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which for a free app is nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case, they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
Ending things
You can stop using QnA at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or stop providing the app, or any part of it, at any time. If you break these terms we may remove your published guides and block your access to the publishing service.
Changes
We may update these terms. When a change is material the app asks you to review and accept them again the next time it starts. Continuing to use QnA after that means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of Singapore, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
